New Build and As-Built Mapping
One of the keys to a quality walkout is consistency. From the beginning we recognized the high error rate in traditional hand-drafted field maps and subsequent translation to CAD files. Geocomm Mapping uses "ruggedized" pen computers with Lode Data Field Mapper for highly accurate and consistent results.

Small Plant Extensions
Answering an increasing demand for design on small plant extensions, joint trench projects and similar routine system requirements, our immediate response service provides customers with a guaranteed delivery date. If the date is not met, there will be no charge for the service. For projects under 1 mile in size, a 24 hour delivery date can be provided. Geocomm Mapping will provide access to a web-based application that tracks the status and projected shipping dates for all projects.

MDU Engineering

Make-Ready
Inspection of utility poles includes pole height, number and placement of existing conductors and documentation for utility permitting.

Pole Attachment Inventory
Information extracted from existing digital drawings is correlated with field data collection to create a highly accurate and up-to-date record of pole attachments. Compiled in electronic database format.

Project Management
Management of rebuild or new build by providing on site staff and expertise, overseeing contractors and maintaining inventory.

RF and Fiber System Design
Geocomm Mapping engineers design leading-edge communications networks for telecommunications and cable television, as well as for private and/or municipal-owned systems. We engineer fiber optic and coaxial networks, provide maps, specifications, splice documentation and conduit layouts.

Map Digitizing
All plant records and system design is digitized using the latest versions of AutoDesk products. Design is drafted using Lode Data Drafting Assistant, which reads from the Design Assistant files for perfect translation to final AutoCAD maps.

Paper to Digital Conversion
Using a high-end wide format digital scanner and raster-to-vector software, paper maps are converted to fully attributed AutoCAD drawings.

Address Database Management
Geocomm Mapping uses proprietary software routines to clean and standardize address extractions from your electronic maps. The results are examined by experienced operators for linking to your Customer Service database.
